It's funny you know - how we end up where we do on the web. I was just blogging away and twittering with people (which I just started yesterday), and suddenly the name Sy Safransky popped into my head. I haven't read The Sun in years and so I had to google it. I saw some of the google entries and then it clicked - so I typed in Sy Safransky blog - to see if he has one. Now I'm here.

I agree with you about the Sun content. the magazine has been like a friend and healer for me at times in the past. I would go to the library and devour back issues, and the content does often contain 'raw emotions' - along with the black and white photos that bring you even closer to a human connection. I've never seen another publication that accomplishes that for me. I used to do a biweekly paper here, and the reason I even know about The Sun, is that a supporter of mine recommended it to me and said that my publication reminded him of The Sun. After I read a few back issues, I realize what a compliment that was.

Here's another one. I'm listening to a compilation of songs from the L Word - Season One. The song that just came on is 'Sun Again' by Kinnie Starr. It's from an album she wrote after she broke her contract with Cirque du Soleil in Vegas and came back to her normal life as a musician. It's definitely part of her healing from the Vegas segue. I have done music bookings and promotions here in my town Nelson, BC for years (not now though), and I did several shows with her.

Anyway, you're fortunate to have a loving hubby who gives you such great gifts. !!

best
